City of Cameron General Specifications Sidewalks: All walks shall be designed to ADA specifications. Sidewalks shall match adjacent walks in width, grade, and elevation. Minimum width (5) five feet (unless matching adjacent walk). Minimum thickness: (4) four inches for normal travel area and a minimum of (6) six inches thick, reinforced with rebar where vehicle traffic crosses a walkway. Curb ramps where required (ADA 4.7) Driveways / Parking Lots: All driveways shall be an “All Weather” surface a minimum of (6) six inches thick and lead to an approved parking area. Residential: Driveways and/or parking areas are required to accommodate (2) two parking spaces per dwelling unit and shall lead to a garage, side or rear parking area as per “Zoning Code, Article 24.” All driveways shall be an “All Weather” surface, a minimum of (6) six inches thick and shall match grade of sidewalk transition.
