This week's veteran member, Floyd Shelman Realtor, certainly qualifies as a "veteran" member.  Established forty years ago in 1967, the broker and sales staff of Floyd Shelman Realtor are truly pillars of the Chamber and have been honored by the Chamber.  Nelle Shelman was honored in 2002 as Employer of the Year.  In 2006, she was delighted to honor her dear friend and sister-in-law, Eva Hill with the Sertoma's Woman of the Year Award.  Floyd Shelman was the company's founder and he and Nelle were active brokers until his passing in 2006.  Floyd and Nelle were probably two of the most well known Cameronites around.  You never saw Nelle look anything but her best nor being unable to call everyone in town by name.  What a great first impression she gave our visitors.  Although no longer an active part of the business, she would be the first to recommend Cameron as a great place to locate.  Floyd Shelman Realtor remains in good hands as David Justus took over the business in July of 2005.  Floyd passed in December of 2006.  David chose to retain the company name out of respect to its founder with whom he had worked for several years.
Floyd Shelman Realtor has been a longstanding leader in production of farm, home, and commercial properties in this area.  That leadership continues under David Justus, broker owner and his outstanding sales staff of Chuck Ver Hagen, Tracy Clark, Jimmy Scott, and Kim Wilson.  This dedicated group works hard to sell your property.  Much has been in the news about the real estate market slowdown.  Apparently, not at Floyd Shelman Realtor!  They had six closings in December alone!  Realizing that virtual visits are a fact of life, an outstanding website is critical to a realtor's success.
