The Chamber is delighted to feature another "new" member who joined in April of 2006, 911 Nails Spa.  Owned and operated by Yvette Newell, 911 Nails Spa has a class and exotic spa atmosphere for the everyday woman.  Yvette serves as her own best example as you would expect from one trained, educated and licensed in California where so many fashion trends arise.  Obviously, she's also licensed in Missouri as an Apprentice Supervisor, so her technicians will acquire the skill and training to be an asset to the industry.  Yvette feels that she is personally responsible for every client that walks out the door.  Clearly those clients not only receive her utmost respect, care, and service, but her technicians feel equally responsible as she takes them under her wing and properly guides them in the procedures and policies required by her spa.  When you go in for a manicure or pedicure, you are paired w/your own personal technician and establish an easy relationship with them.
Receiving treatment at 911 Nails Spa is a wonderful pampering experience.  Last week, a bridal party was receiving the whole experience, complete w/catering.  That would truly be a one of a kind bridal shower or gift.  Yvette will even bring the pampering to you and provide a mobile-ready peace of mind for brides and attendants.  Located at 101 E. 3rd, 911 Nails Spa is always beautifully decorated and you relax as soon as you walk in.  It's an accurate reflection of Yvette who has that same calming effect and makes you feel like you an old friend whether you are or you just walked in. However relaxing the experience might be, your health is paramount to Yvette who has completed specialized training in the areas of sculptured pink and white acrylics, nail art, electric file, IBD gels, pedicures, reflexology, and care of your natural nails.  She's currently studying nail disorders to aid in identifying and caring for problem nails.  She and her staff continue furthering their skills through education so they can maintain services as well as update them, so they are knowledgeable in all the current professional techniques.  Yvette just returned Tuesday from the Las Vegas Nail Conference!
Yvette, Stacy and Jackie go all out to make your manicure and/or pedicure a wonderful experience.  They all want you to give you a "hand up" or let you put "your best foot forward."  If you've noticed that their "Open" sign is on a lot, consider their operating hours - Monday through Saturday 8:00 a.m. until the last customer leaves.  Yvette even had a wonderful outreach program in 2006 where they made their services available to area nursing homes.  We all need a bit of pampering now and then, no matter what our age and Yvette made that possible for folks who were unable to come to her business.
Make plans for all the July 4th events.  Celebration begins June 29 - BBQ Contest, 4th Annual Car, Motorcycle, and Talent Shows + CAMP HARLOW band, all downtown.  June 30- Sertoma Breakfast, BBQ contest, 2nd Annual Quilt Show, Soka Juke Box, NW MO Academy of Dance, Remember the King-Elvis tribute, and Exit 47 Band  July 3 Pet Show and Jeff Lux Band.  July 4 has all the usual contests, CRMC 4 mile run, Kids Fun Run, Lions Parade, Pedal Tractor Pull, City Band, Veterans Recognition Ceremony, concert, and Fireworks!
