The Chamber is delighted to feature another "new" member who joined in 2006, Heritage Home Place.  Now located at 125 W. 3rd, Heritage Home Place is a wonderful addition to downtown Cameron.  You notice this business as soon as you enter 3rd street. Those beautiful hanging baskets and wooden folding chairs really make it look inviting.  That excellent first impression is further enhanced by the store itself.  Owner Dee Harp excels in hospitality and remarkable products.  Depending on the season, you may be offered lemonade as well as samples of her many varieties of foods.  She has absolutely the best animal crackers around in both standard and tiny shapes.  She has everything you need nutritionally to get and stay healthy.  She has everything from freshly pressed flax seed oil to whole grain products which are available in regular packaging or in bulk.  Previously you would have to travel to Jamesport to find what Heritage Home Place offers right here.  Besides bulk foods, Dee offers organic foods that are as free of additives as is possible.  Organic food has become increasingly popular as folks discover that indeed we are what we eat.  Check the longevity dates of various items in your pantry.  I discovered that several items would still be edible after I'm long gone.  How do all those preservatives affect your body after long term use?  No one is certain but there's no doubt the fewer unnatural things you ingest, the better.  
Heritage Home Place resembles the "general store" of the past but with today's convenience.  Heritage Home Place also offers fresh organic produce from a local grower which is delivered fresh every Saturday.  Dee has all the special dietary needs covered as well.  Can't handle wheat or gluten?  Heritage Home Place has products that are gluten free or an adaptation of a wheat-based product like lasagna noodles.  They offer lasagna noodles made of rice instead so your body can enjoy what you crave and still tolerate it.  I was quite simply overwhelmed by the variety of products.
