Trash Service:
Residential service is provided by the City of Cameron. Commercial accounts must contract for their own services. A monthly fee of $8.08 on the utility bill is for weekly residential pick-up. There is also a $1.00 monthly recycling fee and a $0.96 monthly landfill fee.
The electric, water, sewer and trash are billed by the City of Cameron. Bills are mailed on or about the first of each month and are due by the 15th of the month. City Hall is open from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. You can pay a utility bill anytime by using our night depository located on the north side of the building next to the drive up window. The fourth Tuesday of each month is when utility services are disconnected for non-payment. Please contact City Hall prior to that day and make arrangements to pay your bill.
The City offers yard waste pick-up from May 1 to November 30. Yard waste can be put in open containers. Branches need to be cut into 4 foot lengths and bundled. Open burning of yard waste is allowed from the third Saturday in October through the third Saturday in April each year. Fires must be at least 20 feet from buildings and may not occur in the right of ways. All fires must be attended and have water readily available to put out flames if necessary. All fires must be extinguished by 5:00 p.m.
For our customers who have “all electric” homes, we offer a winter electric heat rate from October 1 through April 30. Please contact City Hall for more information and for an application.
The City of Cameron offers yard watering meters for outside watering through the summer months. The water customer must pay for all water used, however all watering done outdoors will receive credit on their sewer consumption. Call City Hall for more details.
For our customer’s convenience, automatic bill payments are available directly from your bank account. You also have the option of paying in person or over the phone with a credit or debit card.

All dogs over the age of six months must be licensed.
Rabies and vaccination shots must be given to the dog by a licensed veterinarian before
you can obtain a license. The license fee is $5.00. (Note: Please observe
Cameron's animal control code - running at large is prohibited. Limit: 2 dogs per
household.)

All Missouri residents must apply for a Missouri drivers
license within 30 days after becoming a resident of the state -- even if you still have a
valid license from another state. A written exam and vision test are required of new
residents who have a valid out-of-state drivers license.

- Hunting & Fishing
Hunting and fishing permits are not required for Missouri
residents under age 16 or over the age of 65. Permits for fishing and hunting can be obtained at various locations in Cameron.
Voter Registration:
Any person who is qualified to vote shall be entitled to register in the
jurisdiction within which he/she resides. In order to vote in an election requiring
registration, a person must be registered no later than 5:00 p.m.
(or the normal closing time of any public building where the registration is being held if
such time is later than 5:00 p.m.) on the fourth Wednesday prior to the
election.
Taxes:
All property is assessed as of January 1 of the given year. Taxes are
due December 1 and become delinquent after December 31. Real Estate and Personal
Property taxes for the City of Cameron can be paid at City Hall, 205 N. Main.
